The ESIF building provides laboratory and office space for approximately 200 NREL researchers and support staff. It houses a research environment specific to the study of distributed and renewable energy systems, with supercomputer access and distributed AC/DC power, CO₂ and steam. And blast bays for particularly vigorous experiments.
