This two-page spread illustrates the high performance features of NREL’s RSF that make it the largest commercial net-zero energy building in the country. It is a showcase for sustainable, high-performance design that incorporates the best in energy efficiency, environmental performance, and advanced controls using a “whole building” integrated design process.

This commission came two years after I did a similar illustration of the original building, prior to adding the modular wing on the right. From a series of fourteen illustrations highlighting high-performance buildings throughout the U.S.
